Elton Mardi Gras Run, Feb 2, 2008
The Elton run wound through the countryside from the Coushatta
Reservation south toward Elton with a good band of Mardi Gras that, as a
couple of photos below show, were willing to get on their hands and
knees to pursue the photographer and make sure that he didn't get away
without offering up a little cash. A crew of NASA astronauts also
accompanied the other Mardi Gras. They were more than willing to lend
their technical expertise to "fix" the car of one of the law enforcement
officers who was clearing traffic so the run could pass.
